How to batch change file dates

Quick answerJust drop multiple files into NewFileDate at once. Set one date, run it, and download a single ZIP where every file carries that timestamp. JPG photos get their EXIF capture date updated in the same batch.

Runs in your browser, no install ยท Free

Steps

  1. Select multiple files and drop them in all at once (no file-count limit)
  2. Enter the single date and time to apply
  3. Run 'File Date (OS)' mode
  4. Download one ZIP with every file re-dated

Batch rules

The same date is applied to every file. For different dates, split the files and run once per date.

If several files share a name, duplicates are auto-renamed with _1, _2 suffixes to avoid overwriting โ€” you'll get a notice listing which files were renamed.

Standard mode has no size limit. Pro mode (HWP/PPT document dates) is limited to 4.5MB per file.

Where it runs

Batch processing also happens inside your browser. Dozens of files never touch a server, and JPG EXIF capture dates are rewritten in the same pass.

FAQ

Can I set a different date per file?

One run applies one date to everything. Group files by target date and run multiple times.

How many files at once?

There's no count limit, but everything is processed in browser memory, so hundreds of very large files may slow things down depending on your device. Split the batch if needed.
